PCOS , also known as PCOD is a hormonal condition characterised by irregular periods, increased weight and body fat and risk of diabetes. There are several skin problems that can arise out of PCOD like hormonal acne, unwanted facial hair, increased hair loss /alopecia. There can be associated thickening and darkening of the skin on the neck and underarms which is known as acanthosis nigricans.

The increase in body fat may lead to the development of stretch marks known as striae. Fractional laser technology is used for the treatment of these stretch marks on abdomen.
